I Love This Thing!

I purchased theth Flight Stick for myself for Christmas and have had a blast using it ever since. The manufacturing quality of the unit is excellent and the adjustable grip rests for your hand aids significantly in finding your most comfortable grip. My favorite feature (next to the unit being wireless)is the feel of the unit while in use, especially flying. The twist grip is also very handy for rudder control and has an unexpectedly (rudders are normally operated by your feet) natural feel...great product!
Ready to use right out of the box

I've owned other Flight Sticks but had to install drivers and calibrate them. I took this out of the box and plugged the receiver into a USB port and XP found new hardware and installed all drivers required. I never did install the software that came with the Flight Stick since all features needed for my Flight Simulator where already available. Its simple to adjust for comfort and can be setup for left handed operation. The use of the controls is simple to use and easy to reach. The best feature is no wires laying around making it an easy component to keep out of the way when not in use. So far the battery life has posed no problems. The only problem I had was inserting the receiver into an open USB port. My USB ports are close together and I had to arrange my other devices to free up an open USB end slot. It wouldn't fit between two USB device plugs because its too thick for the spacing on the back of my 4 year old desktop. I recommend this if you want to reduce the clutter of wires and just hook it up and start flying. Remember that software is included if you want to customize the Flight Stick.
Great Lefty Joystick

This is a great joystick for lefties. I bought this from Beach Audio and it came so fast I couldn't believe it. That is a great place to purchase this from. There are multiple vendors who sell this on this Amazon site, so if you want to purchase from Beach Audio, you'll have to make sure to select them above on the right and side. As of this entry, their price was like $1.00 more than another vendor, but I can tell you that it is worth a dollar to me for a fast, hassle free buying experience. I'm not sure how the shipping compares between the two though. I purchased this joystick for Battlefield 2.
A few minor issues but overall good

I like the wireless version of this controller for the obvious reason of not having to plug in the old one and deal with another cable laying around. As read in other reviews, the stick does have a problem "waking up" for play time. I found that it was better to just take out the battery when not in use and then put it back in after I load up a new flight. Overall response is good and I have not noticed any unintentional movements or episodes of lost control as mentioned in other reviews. If you like the old evo stick then you will be happy with this one too.

I have had this joystick for a year now, and use it several times a week for playing BF1942 and MS Combat Flight Simulator.
